Fall Family Fun in Denver

November 10, 2017

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. Everything about it is perfect…

🍂 sweater weather

🍂 beautiful leaves changing color

🍂 crisp evenings

🍂 apple picking

🍂 pumpkin everything

But watching this season through the eyes of my children is just magical.

Everett loves seeing pumpkins everywhere we go + he’s currently obsessed with all things trains, so we tried to find fun fall activities that incorporated both of those things whenever possible.

These have been some of our favorites:

Georgetown Loop Railroad Pumpkin Fest

Denver Botanic Gardens Pumpkin Fest

Denver Zoo – Boo at the Zoo

Tagawa Gardens Pumpkin Festival

Carving a Thomas the Train Pumpkin at Home

I hope you have been enjoying this magical season as much as we have. We would love to take the kids apple picking, but it’s not the right climate in Colorado for apple trees. We found one tiny little apple orchard/farm last year, however, you had to make apple-picking reservations a year in advance! Who remembers to do that?!

Maybe I’ll remember to do it next year or we should just schedule a trip to Washington in the fall. 🙂

What is on your fall bucket list?
