Pro For Sho Baby Ear Muffs {A Review}

September 19, 2018

After a few failed attempts at a family vacation due to last minute illnesses + work schedules, we finally booked a trip to the East Coast to visit family + friends! This marked Emmy’s very first plane ride, and thus our first trip as a family of four.

In preparation of our trip, I wanted to do everything I could to make it as smooth as possible. Traveling with kids is tough under the best of circumstances, so I tend to (over)pack for all scenarios. Pro For Sho happened to reach out to me at the absolute PERFECT time and offered to send me a pair of the Baby Ear Muffs to try.

They were AWESOME.

The Pro For Sho Baby Ear Muffs are specially designed for babies 0 – 2 years old. Babies’ ears are very sensitive when they are so young + are very susceptible to damage. Providing hearing protection is one thing we can do as parents to minimize that damage.

According to babyhearing.org,

“Infants and young children are more sensitive to loud noises than adults are. Because the ear canal is smaller in children, the sound pressure that is generated in the ears is greater compared to adults. In other words, loud sounds are even louder for kids.”

As we all know, airplanes are noisy from engine noise, pilot announcements, flight attendants with the drink cart, other passengers, etc. These Ear Muffs were a lifesaver! Emmy wanted to just play with them at first, so I recommend easing your kiddo into them a few minutes at a time BEFORE you need to use them, but she eventually left them alone. They definitely seemed to help her calm down, chill out + even take a nap – the holy grail of traveling with kids.

The ear muffs are adjustable and made with super squishy foam, making them very comfortable for a little one’s head. I tried them on myself just to make sure. Pro For Sho Ear Muffs have a signature square design instead of the round or oval designs you often see. The square I found completely covered Emmy’s ears with lots of room to spare. That ensured a tight fit against her head to make them truly “noise cancelling.”

We plan to put these Pro For Sho Ear Muffs to use at sporting events (we have tickets to a few late-season baseball games, as well as a football game!), July 4th Fireworks, concerts, etc. I wish I had gotten a pair of these when Everett was a baby, but better late than never. I’ll be including these with an upcoming baby shower gift basket I’ve been putting together because I love gifting items that actually grow with kids.

Pro For Sho was generous enough to give me a discount promo code, just for my readers. Use the code below for 10% on Amazon.

I hope your littles love the Pro For Sho Baby Ear Muffs as much as we do!

    Loved this! Our little guy hates loud noises. We thought we may drive to Florida for holiday just to avoid the plane and ear popping. Do you know off hand if they make them for older kids?

      They don’t make a specific version for older kids, just the next size up as a one-size-fits-most. They definitely come in handy though!!
